Did you install the Patch Update to Version 1.3 correctly?
Here's how to find out:
1. The Database Backup & Restore program main screen should show 6 options: Backup, Restore, Compact the Active Database, Compact an Archive Database, Repair the Active Database, and Repair an Archive Database.
2. The Mass Updates & Archiving program main menu choices for all of the Archiving features are now working.
3. The Mass Updates & Archiving program has Mass Updates - Assign Drop Date option in the top portion of the main menu.
4. The main Student Information Program now has an Activation History button on the student record screen.
If you don't see the items mentioned above, you probably have not installed the patch update correctly. Here's what you should have done to install the patch update:
1. Place the diskette into the floppy drive.
2. From File Manager (Win 3.x) or Windows Explorer (Win 95), find the Setup.exe file on the floppy disk.
3. Run the Setup.exe program.
4. Find the CRM folder on your C: drive, and the Convert3.exe program in that folder.
5. Double-click the Convert3.exe program to run it, and follow its instructions. This program does the actual conversion of your database from the old version 1.2 to the new version 1.3.
If you did not run the Convert3.exe program, then you have not completely installed the patch update, and you are still running version 1.2.
If you experience any errors while running the Convert3.exe program, please call us for assistance. In some isolated cases, Convert3.exe fails to change some file names, and you will not be running the new version.
Do not run the Convert3.exe program more than once, as this will cause duplicate Student detail records. Call for assistance.
