| Program or Area | Control or Item | Description of Problem | Workaround |
| Student Information | Date of Entry | Cannot use todays date. | Use any other date for versions 1.2 and earlier. Fixed in version 1.3 by the use of the Activation History records. |
| Reports | Interface to Word/Excel | Cannot link to Word 95 or Excel 95 using the buttons on the report preview screen | This will happen if you are using a version of Access which is earlier than the version of Word or Excel on your system. Upgrade the Access to the same version, and you can then dump the report data to Word or Excel. |
| Security Setup | User ID | Trying to change a User ID crashes the Setup Screen. | You cannot change the name of an existing User ID. Use New to create a new User ID. Then use Delete to remove the previous one if desired. |
| Archiving/dropped students | Reports | Dropped students still show on roster | This problem was corrected by Patch Update to version 1.1. All later versions contain this fix. |
| Installation | "Files in use" | Files such as storage.dll or compobj.dll are reported as in use, and installation fails. | Exit from all other running programs and utilities, including MS Office, virus checkers, fax programs. Check your Startup group for items to remove temporarily until the installation is completed. Disable other programs such as virus checkers (after you have checked the install disks but before actually starting the Setup program), System Agent, FaxWorks, scanner software, etc. Please see our Frequently Asked Questions for more information on this topic. |
| Security | Authorization | Did not authorize any areas on User ID, and now cannot get back into Security Setup. | If you have not deleted the original User ID of "Install", you can exit the program, restart it, and log in with "Install" and "password". If you did already delete the "Install" user ID, call us for instructions on how to recover your security. |
| Reports | Roster | Current rank does not show for all students | This problem has been corrected by Version 1.1.0. All later versions also contain this fix. |
| Student Information | Search by Name | Name shows in drop-down list, but error occurs when you select it and press Return. This has been fixed in Version 1.3, which shipped November 16, 1998. |

Dropped students will not show when you select the "All Records" form of a report in the Active database. However, you can print an individual's record by selecting the "By Name" form of a report. After the record is archived, all dropped records will show when you run reports from the Archive Database. |
| Supply Item Set Up | NSN field | Cannot change NSN number on an item already in use in Student Supply Issue | Not yet fixed. Detour: create a new supply item record with the correct NSN number. Then delete the old one. (Use the Search feature in Version 1.3 to easily find individual supply items.) |
| Organization Info | Additional Info/Enrollment Stats | Lost data after entering | Not yet fixed. Problem is caused when you update the Additional Info (or Enrollment Statistics) screen and then also update on the main Org Info Set Up screen. To avoid this problem, update only one screen at a time; e.g., update only the Additional Info (or Enrollment Stats) screen, then immediately return back out of the Org Info Set Up screen (without updating it) to the Set Up tab screen in the main program. |
| Award Order Report | Column heading | Heading is partially obscured | Not yet fixed. A hidden flag field for indicating dropped students is covering up a portion of the last column's heading. This heading should read "Total # of This Award". |
| Mass Updates - Assign Drop Date | Drop Date | Program faults if you select a drop reason but have not selected a drop date | Not yet fixed. To avoid this problem, always select a drop date before selecting a drop reason. |
| Mass Updates - Assign Drop Date | Drop Date and Drop Reason | No way to un-assign | Not yet fixed. There is currently no way to remove a drop date or drop reason using Mass Updates.
